Take the J bus from Höttinger Kirchplatz to the Nordkette terminus and start the walk from there. It takes about half an hour to reach the Alm.\u003C/em>\u003C/p>\n","\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Directions\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>Most of the route consists of wide gravel paths through the forest, leading you to your destination. Up to Gramartboden – a clearing with a spacious playground, a fountain and sun loungers – the path is relatively steep and you’ll need to step over a few tree roots now and then. Gramartboden is also an excellent spot for a short breather. After that, you’ve covered most of the elevation gain and the route continues at a more moderate pace towards the east. Every now and then, you catch a glimpse of the valley. Although this takes a little longer, it isn’t as steep and is easier to manage if you’re not an experienced hiker. Please make sure to bring cash with you here too!\u003C/em>\u003C/p>\n","\u003Cp>\u003Cstrong>Directions\u003C/strong>\u003C/p>\n\u003Cp>The route we suggest here is suitable for experienced hikers. It is a very steep climb, but it takes you through beautiful mountain meadows, past the Höttinger Bach stream and a few stunning vantage points. You’ll need to be in good physical shape, have a head for heights, and bring plenty of water and sun protection, as the final third in particular is quite exposed. If you’re not sure whether you can manage it, it’s better to take the wide, signposted forest track instead.
